Did the last of the body fat become more of a challenge to lose? the reason I asked is because this is my body comp dilemma: losing the last 5% of BF. I am not trying to lose weight at all, just want to lose the little belly fat and love handles. Been using Sisson’s PB for some time and following his advice which is great but can’t seem to get off the current BF “plateau”. Any clues?

    Hi there,

It’s hard to say without knowing what you’re doing with your diet and exercise…

And honestly, I didn’t do anything different from the first day I started the caveman diet until now…

My opinion is that most of the fat loss is predicated on how well you eat, not the exercises / workouts you do… so, if you’re having issues losing fat, I’d recommend you take an honest look at what you’re eating and drinking.

For me, since going to a ‘caveman’ style diet, means that I have not touched any white carbs to speak of; I also do not consume foods that contain refined sugar… nor do I consume ‘liquid calories’. My diary intake is also on the low side…

So in other words, I don’t eat: rice (white, brown, wild), pasta, bread and potatoes (with the exception of yams a few days a week). I stay away from beer, soda pop, gatorade etc. And I don’t really eat much diary…

As far as exercise goes, I do some type of physical activity just about every day (mostly via martial arts training). I also do resistance training a couple of times per week (mostly bodyweight style training).

    Hope this helps,

Hi, what about sweet potatoes? do you eat them? I’ve got a stomach ache after eating zucchini…:/ I dont know what to eat to not irriatate my stomach. I had one banana but I do not dare to try anything else. any councils?

Yes, I do eat sweet potatoes.

For the first few months I stayed away from them, but re-introduced them into my diet. These days I eat sweet potatoes maybe a couple of times a week.

You’ll have to gauge your level of sensitivity to the starches… but it should be just fine.
