Latest Progress Picture

I’ve been on a modified Paleo style diet since May… and the results have been awesome so far. And the best part is that it’s super easy to maintain.

Here’s the latest progress picture (the “after” picture was taken just a couple of days ago):

Body Transformation

In the “Before” picture I was about 227 lbs (or so…) and was taken around April 2010. I went Primal in May 2010 (I think May 8th) and I was 225 lbs.

The “After” picture was taken yesterday (September 29th, 2010) and I weighed 175 lbs (the picture was taken just after lunch.. but it came out alright).

So, since I went primal I’ve lost over 40 lbs… pretty hard to believe. And I started the weightloss journey at around 235 – 240 lbs.

Hard to believe it was just a summer ago.

Awesome transformation. I too went primal about a month ago along with intermittent fasting about twice a week for 24 hour periods. I also do strength training but do not do any cardio. I have lost about 10 lbs of body fat so far and feel great. I have a question: During your transformation, were you completly and totally dedicated to the primal way of eating or did you ever fall off the wagon and delve into carbs. For instance; I have sat down at a restaurant and ordered a steak and salad with good intentions and shortly thereafter the waitress brings out chips and salsa without my ordering it. (In weakness I dove in to the chips & salsa). Do things like that sabatoge my progress? Has this happened to you?

      Thanks!

While I personally don’t eat that sort of thing, Mark Sisson (the author of Primal Blueprint) has shared that he occasionally eats bread and such if served fresh at a restaurant (along with a hefty portion of butter).

So, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Steven – amazing pics! Can you briefly summarize the diet workout routine you used during your transformation? Is the primal diet just lean meat and veggies with no simple carbs or processed foods – something along those lines?

    TIA, and again awesome transformation!
